Through connecting with incredible artists across Nigeria, it’s becoming clear that artistic expression can spark the kind of innovation needed to build sustainable communities.
A lot of healing is needed in Nigeria to regain our sense of purpose and value for our lands. I believe the right stories can get us there faster.

Christian Okwananke
Painter / Illustrator
I am a Nigerian artist, architect, and cartoonist, with a diverse portfolio that includes landscape, figurative, and abstract drawings. I graduated from the Federal University of Technology, Akure, and proudly belong to the Association of Professional Creative Artists and Digital Designers (APCAD) and the Society of Nigerian Artists (SNA).
My works capture the multi-cultural fabric of living in Nigeria and have been shown at various exhibitions including iDesign4 (2019), Ogirikan Miniature Art Festivals (2019 & 2021), October Rain at Mydrim Gallery and Adeline Gallery (2022)
I love football, afro hi-life music, and any food that tastes good—no matter where it’s from. If I wasn't doing art, I’d very likely be a stand-up comedian.

I was born in Bamenda, Cameroon, and graduated from Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka, with a Bachelor of Science in Architecture.
I've always found art interesting and have, over many years, improved my skill and knowledge of the artistic experience and practice.
I want to make a positive impact on society through my artistic expression, to awaken a collective consciousness for better living while contributing to societal growth and development.
My works capture my multi-faceted societal reality—from pains and tensions, to joys, dreams, and future.

Uzochukwu Collins Asiegbu
Sculptor / Painter
I was born in Jos, Nigeria and moved to the southeasern part of the country in my younger years.
I have been a professional artist for more than half a decade. I basically do metal sculptures, and sometimes interpret my ideas with ink on paper.
As an aesthetic priest of the soul, I believe artists are timekeepers, and it’s our duty to continue etching our realities into the collective pages of history books.

Kene Ibeneme
Prose Writer / Screenwriter
I am a prose writer and screenwriter, originally from Anambra—now living in Lagos, Nigeria. My primary interests are astronomy, wildlife, music, photography, and anything remotely related to Binyavanga Wainaina and Fyodor Dostoevsky.
My works have appeared on personal blogs, and I have a little article on Medium called “Cosmic Fugue 101: An Ascent to Universal Consciousness”, which you probably shouldn’t take very seriously.
An inveterate procrastinator and hermit, I have been working on my first novel since 2016, and had my first beach outing in 2023. I think I’ll go again.
